Oil painting allows me to communicate visually the engaging and evocative. I favour a bold and painterly style and take my cues from the impressionists and the mood created by artists such as Andrew Wyeth. Inspiration often comes from the land and sea around me. My fascination with painting light has become a recurring theme and recently I have begun to give more consideration to objects and places so I can introduce narrative and nostalgia to my work.

Although I was born in Manchester in 1970, East Cornwall became my permanent home in 2004. Formal art education saw me complete a National Diploma in Technical Illustration in 1994 and graduate from Falmouth University in 1996 with a Higher National Diploma in General Illustration. Currently very active on the South West arts scene, I exhibit through several art groups, societies and galleries.
